Lucas Bravo (aka Kobalt)
He is a 19-year-old minimal producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Since he was very young, only good music is what he was surrounded by. At the age of barely eight, he was already listening to music which would influence his following years.
Queen, Pink Floyd, The Cure, The Beatles, Bjork, Depeche Mode and more, are only some of the artists that influenced him into a flavoured style of music he has progressively developed through the years.
At the age of 11 he started exploring new sounds. He had encountered one of his most favourite artists: The Chemical Brothers, together with Fatboy Slim. This also drove him into a new style of music in his life. He started exploring many different styles of electronic music trying Old-skool acid, Detroit and later Electroclash.When he was finally 16 in 2004 he decided there should be something different he had to try. There comes his liking for Minimal and Techno. After listening to artists like Agaric (one of his most powerful influences), James Holden, Adam Beyer and many more, he was entering a brand-new world of music in his life.Now that he was totally into Minimal music, he had defined a deep-bass minimal techno and flavoured percussive techno style mixing emotional tech-house synthes and very personal liking for Detroit and Swedish Techno.
Nowadays at the age of 19, his way through minimal music was developed including many of the most well-known artists like Stephan Bodzin, Exercise one, Florian Meindl, Phil Kieran, Oliver Huntemann, Extrawelt, Gui Boratto, 3 Channels, Danilo Vigorito, Alter Ego, Kevin Gorman, Christian Smith, Pig & Dan, Joris Voorn, Superpitcher and Gabriel Ananda.Listening to his sets you will find a quite strict selection of labels like Mobilee (his favourite one), Trapez, Border Community, Kompakt, Liebe Detail, Rekorder and Get Physical.
