MarkoJux (Mark Baumann) purchased his first pair of turntables over 2yrs ago. It was at this point his appetite for electronic music really took off. Now adding to his performance with Rane Serato, Abelton Live and Visual Jockey, Mark has created a platform to play his own music, his own way. Mark has been writing music for the past year and a half, all of this motivation came from exposure to the awesome music scene he discovered in London from 2000 – 2004. Mark's productions bring together a mixture of deep techno & isolated grooves; with an aim to produce post-modernistic music with a visual element in order to create emotion through sound, scape and reduction. One of Mark’s first projects was a remix of Holger Flinsch’s ‘Five Me’ off of his Rotary Cocktail album. Mark’s remix has had local success, being played by Melbourne’s heavyweights Gavin Keitel & Lance Harrison at the infamous nightclub Sunny, as well as Loop and airplay on Melbourne’s number one electronic music station – Kiss FM. Together alongside friends Daniel Filipovic & Lance Harrison, Mark has started Melbourne’s first netlabel – Pinksilver. A fresh new digital label showcasing up & coming artists dedicated to releasing avant-garde electronic music; music that sits within modern, off-beat house & hypnotic deep techno. Mark’s latest releases have seeing success by getting radio play in Melbourne on KISS FM and club play by Lance Harrison (Watergate, Berlin), Sebastian Herre [Produkt] + many more.
