Maxwell Jacobson
He was born in Detroit Michigan and grew up in the surrounding areas. At the age of 17, he attened his first Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF), and this was the first time he was exposed to all the great sounds of electronic music. He was influenced by high energy house DJ's souch as Donald Glaude, Traxx, and Carl Cox. A year later he attended the festival again and heard a set by Richie Hawtin that would forever change his life. He was so influenced by Hawtin and other dj's he saw that year, that he wanted to start djing. Within his first 3 months of DJing, Maxwell got his own weekly gig at a local college club where he was going to school. Being a creative person, he then decided that DJing wasn't enough for his creativity and started producing tracks. In his productions he fuses hardware devices to create minimalistic soundscapes. After 6 months of producing, he has had releases on various netlabels. Currently Max resides in the city of Chicago, and is working on taking his production skills to the next level, as well as working on his LIVE PA project.
