Mirco Violi
He was born in Italy (Milan) the 9/6/1986. Everything started when he was 14 while listening to Frankie Knuckle, Dave Morales and Maw’s sets. Real House music appeared for him in the 90’s.Afterwards he got to know Lerry Levan, the immortal dance music icon. His style has been influenced by those funky and disco beats. As he turned 17 I began getting closer to the techno sounds thanks to Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer and his idol... Richie Hawtin. Approaching to Richie’s style I discovered the minimal beat and artist, for example Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, Jorge Savoretti, Damian Schwarz, Mikael Stavostrand, Lucien N Luciano and many many others mnml artist. Now i follow this type of sound from a lot of time because this sound gives to me several attractive feelings.
Last but not least I consider music as an art, not as a business. Nowadays he's playing together with his beatpartner dj Fill in several clubs of Milan.The two of them use digital technologies such as final scratch or m-audio torq support with decks & laptop + fx and offering a unique minimal techno sound.
