As the planet unfolds into the interesting times ahead, there are some of us who would like to make the journey smooth and exotic by means of dropping crisp, intelligent electronic music into the digital atmosphere. I guess I fall into that group. I fell in love with stripped down dance sounds some years ago and have made it my business to seek that notion out as far as I can and see where it leads. My first true nightclub experiences were in NYC at the now legendary west side underground spot...Twilo. I was taken back by the opening DJs that at the time (circa 1999-2001) were very skillfully and artfully warming up the room for bigger, international DJs. I quite liked the gentle, yet hypnotic sound scapes that they were pioneering. Just the right dose of energy I thought, for dancing, interacting and pondering the nature of universe- nothing too hard or driving but more classy, subtle and intelligent. Thus, without really knowing it...I was beginning a love affair with that world, that restrained aesthetic- minimalistic and very functional. The story is still unfolding and I’m still playing with these ideas...
